About

Welcome to Declutter Bloom

Make room to breathe with gentle, ADHD-safe decluttering that fits your real life.

Hi, I’m Melissa Shepherd. I created Declutter Bloom as a quiet corner of the internet for anyone who feels overwhelmed by clutter, chaos, or the pressure to “get it all together.” If ADHD, burnout, or just plain exhaustion has made everyday life feel too big, you’re in the right place.

I know firsthand how it feels when even small tasks snowball into big stress. That’s why I created Declutter Bloom: to share the calm routines, kind guidance, and real-life tips that helped me go from drowning in stuff to gently creating space to breathe.

Why I Started Declutter Bloom

Like many of you, I spent years overwhelmed by piles, by pressure, and by productivity systems that never quite clicked. Traditional decluttering advice often left me feeling like I was failing before I even began. But over time, I found a gentler path, one built on routines that support you, not shame you. I want to help you find your own version of that path.

This blog is my way of saying: You don’t have to do it all at once. You’re not lazy or broken. Progress counts, even when it’s slow. You can create a home that feels better, one tiny step at a time.

Who Declutter Bloom Is For

Declutter Bloom is especially for women (and anyone else) who feel weighed down by clutter, decisions, and expectations. It’s for adults with ADHD, neurodivergence, or executive function challenges. It’s for busy people who crave calmer routines and doable systems that don’t require perfection. And it’s for anyone who needs to hear: you’re allowed to grow at your own pace.

If you’ve ever said, “I just don’t know where to start,” or “I can’t keep up,” this space was made for you.

What You’ll Find Here

At Declutter Bloom, I focus on small, shame-free steps that help you build momentum, even on hard days.

You’ll find ADHD-safe decluttering guides that break things down into calm, doable pieces. You’ll discover gentle home routines that help you stay on top of life without burning out. I share mindful habits that support your brain, not fight it. And throughout it all, you’ll find encouragement to let go of perfection and bloom at your pace.

My Philosophy: Progress Over Pressure

You won’t find 30-day sprints or color-coded schedules here. Instead, you’ll find permission to pause, tools that actually work with your energy, and honest encouragement from someone who’s been there. It’s not about having a perfect home. It’s about having a home that supports your peace.

Let’s Bloom Together

I believe we all deserve a home that feels kind. If you’re ready to trade clutter for clarity, even if it’s just one shelf at a time, I’d love to help you get there.
